The Benefit Recovery Division is a unit within the Jefferson County Department of Job andFamily Services which carries the responsibility of monitoring all allegations of Public Assistance benefits being under or overpaid to a participant regardless of the cause. The Division is responsible for the investigation of all allegations presented to the agency in a timely manner. The Benefit Recovery Division is also responsible for recovering the overpaid government benefits.
